The Results of Gerrymandering in Georgia

When I ran in 2022, the election results were razor thin in some areas. It was interesting to look at the maps to see where democratic gains had happened. Of course, this could not stand for the Republicans looking to keep power in Georgia — so they used the census results to redraw the election maps. Rich McCormick spent very little and was able to win back his seat in 2024. I certainly did everything I could to speak to Georgia voters to let them know how I would represent them.

The Brennan Center for Justice sees it. This article about the problems with gerrymandering is so accurate it stings. I may or may not run again. Regardless, remember to ask candidates how they plan to represent you, not just how they plan to win.
